Testimonies of the people in the Bible that Jesus Christ (pbuh) was ALIVE and did not die

By

Shais

I have already written an article which actually proves that the person who was put on the cross was NOT Jesus. You can read the article here

Was Jesus (pbuh) really put on the cross according to the Bible?

Even for the sake of argument if we agree that Jesus Christ was the person put on the cross, yet there are several testimonies in the Gospels that after the event of ”crucifixion” Jesus (pbuh) was ALIVE, Which proves that he was not crucified, confirming the Quranic verse which says

“That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him,” (Quran 4:157)

Now lets look at the testimonies of people that Jesus Christ (pbuh) was ALIVE.

  1. Testimony of Mary Magdalene

“And they, (the disciples) when they had heard that he (Jesus) was ALIVE, and had been seen of her (Mary Magdalene), believed not.” (Mark 16:11)

Some people might question that why dint the disciples believe that Jesus (pbuh) was Alive. The reason is because they were not eyewitnesses to the happenings. At the most crucial time of his life, when Jesus (pbuh) needed them the most, all of them forsook him.Its mentioned

“And they all forsook him, and fled.” (Mark 14:50)

“Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.” (Mathew 26:56)

  1. Testimony of Jesus Christ (pbuh) himself.

I’ll just summarize the background first. Its John ch.20 (You can read the chapter yourself if you wish to)

Mary Magdalene goes to the tomb on the first day of the week, meaning Sunday. Sabbath day is Saturday for the Jews so the first day of the week is Sunday. She went to Peter and the other disciple and asked them where Jesus was. They did not know about it so they ran to the sepulcher and found the linen clothes lying but Jesus wasn’t there. So when Mary Magdalene stooped down and looked into the tomb, she saw two angels and asked them about Jesus. After asking she turned back and saw Jesus but did not recognize that it was Jesus. So Jesus asked her why was she weeping and whom was she seeking. So she told him that she was seeking Jesus. So when Jesus said “Mary” she immediately recognizes that its Jesus. So she rushes forth towards him and Jesus replies

“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father (John 20:17)

Jesus Christ (pbuh) said that he had not yet ascended to his father. In other words, he is saying in the most unambiguous terms that he is not yet dead !

Note: There are several points that can be drawn from the background that I have mentioned which prove that Jesus Christ (pbuh) did not die but was ALIVE, but just now I am only mentioning the testimonies.

  1. Testimony of the angels

“And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was ALIVE.” (Luke 24:23)

The angels actually utter the word ALIVE.

  1. Testimony of men around the tomb

3.but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the LIVING among the dead?” (Luke 24:3-5)

The men around the tomb ask the women why were they looking for the LIVING among the dead. In other words, Jesus was ALIVE!

Hence, Jesus Christ (pbuh) was not killed neither was he crucified but he was ALIVE!
