1. Reasoning the EXISTENCE of One True God
Lets now reason the existence of One True God without any partners. Forget about the books and everything for now. Just reason.
Lets take the claim of the atheist first who does not believe in God and the agnostic who neither affirms nor denies the existence of God. They come up with questions like how can you prove the existence of God.
The very fact that we exist is the fact that God exists. Look at your cell phone and question yourself what is it made up of? It is made up of two things, the outer body of it etc is made up plastic and it has a silicon chip inside it. So its made up of two things; silicon and plastic.
What is silicon made of? It is made of sand.
What is plastic made of? It is made of Oil.
So the mobile phone is made up of two things; sand and oil. Which place in the world has sand and water in abundance? It is
Suppose I tell that I was going in the deserts of Saudi Arabia and I found a cell phone over there, packed in a box along with the battery, charger and other things and this cell phone has a digital diary, calculator, mp3 player, camera, Bluetooth and various other functions and it is just a production of chance and co-incidence. The sun was shining there was earthquake, volcanic reaction, the floods came, there was cyclone, rainfall etc. and within some years this phone came into existence itself by chance and co-incidence and I kept adding some more sand and oil to it and it changed into some other shape and some new functions were added to it.
Do you believe this fairy tale? The obvious answer is no!
This fairy tale is so silly and nonsensical that you cannot even make a bedtime story out of it for a one-year-old child, its so rubbish.
No atheist or agnostic who has little bit of common sense would believe in this fairy tale. But the same people want to tell us that more than 6 billion human beings on earth. the billions who have passed away, the billions who are going to come, the stars, the sun, the moon, the billions of galaxies, millions of different types of species in the world, the harmonious running of this universe and each and everything is a product of mere chance and co-incidence!!
Have you ever thought how complex the functions of the human body are? Have you thought how complex a human brain is? Today medical science tells us that there are more than 1 trillion nerve cells in our brain. Is this a production of chance and co-incidence? Even a small function of the body, like when you see something how it goes to the brain and how it interprets it. Just ask any doctor how complex it is. You want to tell me this all this is a production of chance and co-incidence when you cannot believe a cell phone can come into existence on itself. Think about it.
Therefore, we can conclude without any doubt that there exists a God, who is Supreme, the maker of this universe. This ultimate creator of everything has to be distinct than the creation. If the ultimate creator of all things is like the creation, then it itself would be a creation. It has to be something unique, something different, something eternal.
Thus, from the above reasoning we can surely conclude that God exists, who is uncreated, and who is eternal.
2. Reasoning the fact why God cannot become a man.
The reason God CANNOT become a man is because God and man are totally opposite. God-man is an oxymoron.
When God becomes a man, he no longer remains God. God is Omniscient (All Knowing) human beings are not Omniscient. You cannot have a person who is omniscient and not omniscient at the same time. Its illogical. Some people may say well Jesus Christ (pbuh) was all knowing, but this is not True even according to the Bible. Jesus (pbuh) testifies.
“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. (Mark
Human beings require to eat to survive, God doesn’t need to eat to survive. You cannot have a person who requires to eat to survive and doesn’t require to eat to survive. It is illogical!
Human beings sleep, rest, go for call of nature etc. God does not require all these things.
Human beings have an end but God has no end. You cannot have a person who has an end and no end at the same time. Its illogical.
Suppose if a human being today becomes an ant and I trample it beneath my feet, can anyone charge me for a murder?
It is like saying a square became a circle and remained a square. Its totally irrational. Such an idea does NOT go into the logical mind of a human being. These are few reasons why God cannot become a man. Therefore, any religion that teaches that God becomes a man and remains God is to be rejected. Its totally irrational and absurd.
This is the reason why many people in the west leave such religions that teach this concept and become atheists. Unfortunately, the Christians who believe in the concept of God becoming a man do not even know their own Bible. The Bible clearly mentions.
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man,” (Numbers
Jesus is clearly called a man in the Bible in Acts 2:22
as well as the son of Man in Luke
As we can see Bible clearly denies that God is not man nor a son of
3. Reasoning the fact why idols are not God
Now lets analyze the third category of people who worship idols.
Now this should not be something very difficult. The idol that you see, it itself is made up by us human beings, do you really believe this idol is God, the maker of this universe? If I take a hammer and smash it few times, it will pulverize into powder. Do you think such a thing is your God, when it can’t defend itself, do you think it can give you any help?
Well lets come to more sound reasoning. You go to the market, pay money, and buy the idol. The idol (“the god”) is lying on the shelf. You pay money for it and purchase. You take care of it and handle. You carefully carry it to your home. It is not like the idol will say well you see I am your God and I’ll carry you to home, No ! You carry it home and then you pray to I want this, I want that. Does it make any sense, praying to something that cannot do anything? This does not go into the logical mind of any human being.
So from the above reasoning we can conclude that there is only one God who is without any partners and idols are NOT god. I’ll conclude this point with the verse of the glorious Quran.
“O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!” (Quran 22:73)
4. Reasoning the fact why God cannot be more than one.
When there are two people managing something, surely, there is a conflict between the two and they have to agree and come on the common platform. In this way if God is more than one and if there is a conflict between the two, they have to agree on something. In this way, one God does not have power to do everything he wishes. If he agrees to the other God, then it means that either of the two’s idea was not right which means that One of them is not All Wise. Then it becomes a deficient God. Finally, if they do not agree on something, then the whole universe will be disrupted.
Some may say well we can share the powers. One God has the power of so and so things and the other has the power of so and so things.
This is again not logical. If this is the case, then it means one God does not have the power of the other God. Hence, it becomes a deficient God! Let me end this point with couple of verses of the Quran. The Quran says
“If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!” (Quran 21:22)
“No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah. (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him! (Quran 23:91)
The same thing would have happened what we read the mythology of some religions in which gods fight among themselves etc.
5. The only universal Religion that gives this idea of One God without any partners
Well now lets see which religions give this basic simple idea of one God without any partners. Religions like Hinduism, Christianity etc. give the concept God becoming a man. Buddhism is rather an agnostic religion or many followers believe that Buddha was God incarnate. Hence these religions who give such a concept cannot be true. There are 3 major religions only which give this simple basic idea of One God are:
- Judaism
- Sikhism
- Islam
Judaism:
If today you want to be a Jew, the maximum you can be is a third class you. To be a Jew, you have to be born as a Jew. This religion is not for entire humanity. Jews have made their religion a racial religion. They will put many hurdles in the way of someone who wants to be a Jew and even after all that one can only become a third grade Jew!
Sikhism:
It is rather a hybrid religion. Guru Nanak took many teachings of Islam like Oneness of God etc. took out many teachings of Islam like fasting etc. and inserted some teachings of Hinduism like reincarnation etc. Now I am not making up all this or alleging that he did so. You can ask this from a Sikh learned man. Sikhs say that Guru Nanak had two forms, one of a Hindu and other of a Muslim. He even visited Makka in his Muslim form. If he had said he is a sikh or some other non-Muslim, he wouldn’t have been able to enter Makka. Since non-Muslims are not allowed in Makka.
Islam:
Thus, the only religion we are left with which gives this basic concept of one God and is universal is Islam. The Quran says
“Here is a Message for mankind: Let them take warning therefrom, and let them know that He is (no other than) One God. let men of understanding take heed.” (Quran 14:52)
The best definition of this one God can be found no where else other than the Quran. The Quran says
1. Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
4. And there is none like unto Him. (Quran 112:1-4)
I would finally like to conclude this article with the verse of the Quran.
Say: "O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! those who receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to arrange your affairs." (Quran 10:108)
Truth has surely arrived so don’t hesitate in accepting it J
