The Last Prophet of God i.e. Muhammad (May peace and blessings be upon him)

This blog is dedicated to the last Prophet of God i.e. Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the greatest man that has ever lived on this planet, God Almighty testifies to it, the Jew testifies, the Christian testifies it and the Hindu testifies it too, as we shall shortly be seeing. He is also prophesied in the various world religious scriptures. He prophesied many things 1400 years ago which today have come True. All these evidences prove that he is indeed a True Prophet of God and a mercy to the whole of human kind. Accept him and his teachings and be benefitted

"We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not." (Quran 34:28)

The Quran says

If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).(Quran 3:85)

John 16:12-14 clearly prophesizes the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

By

Shais

The verses read

[12] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.[14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (John 16:12-14)

This is a clear-cut prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Now let us analyze every phrase of this prophecy and see for yourself how it fits like a glove to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). I have divided this prophecy into 6 parts.

  1. [12] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
  2. [13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth
  3. : for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak
  4. and he will shew you things to come.
  5. .[14] He shall glorify me:
  6. for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

1. [12] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Why does Jesus Christ (pbuh) say that the disciples cannot bear everything? The reason is because they were not fit to receive it. Jesus Christ had a lot to say to the Jews. See what he says to them.

“But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!....” (Mathew 23:13)

Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater…..” (Mathew 23:17)

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!...” (Mathew 23:23)

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.” (Mathew 23:27)

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” (Mathew 23:33)

“But he (Jesus) answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign;….(Mathew 12:39)

This is what he had to say to the Jews, but now see what he has to say to his chosen disciples.

And he (Jesus) saith unto them (disciples), Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?...” (Mathew 8:26)

Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith,…” (Mathew 16:8)

And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?” (Mathew 15:16)

“And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.” (Luke 9:41)

So we can see clearly from the above that the disciples were not fit to receive the message and he made it clear to his disciples that there is someone else coming who will guide them to all truths.

2. [13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth

If this spirit of Truth is not Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the only other possibility it can be is the Holy Ghost. But Jesus Christ said that he will guide you to ALL truths and before that he said that he had MANY things to say.

“many” and “all” both mean more than ONE. If this Spirit of Truth is indeed Holy ghost then we may question what new teaching has the holy Ghost given in the past 2000 years which Jesus Christ (pbuh) did not give? In fact there is no such teaching and has the Holy Ghost guided mankind to all truths? Well this is not so either. Has the Holy Ghost provided mankind the solution to all the problems of humanity? That is not so. This “Spirit of Truth” is someone else than the Holy Ghost. But someone may argue that its “spirit”. Was Muhammad (pbuh) a spirit? Yes, he was! John (the supposed author of the fourth gospel) has also written 3 other epistles. In I John 4:1, the words “prophet” and “spirit” are used as synonymous terms.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” (I John 4:1)

The True spirit is a True Prophet and the false spirit is the false Prophet.

Was Muhammad the “spirit of truth”? Yes, he indeed was. As I mentioned above that the words “spirit” and “prophet” are used as synonymous. Muhammad (pbuh) was indeed the Prophet of Truth. He was called “Sadiq” (the trustworthy), he was also called “Al-Ameen” (The Truthful) by the pagan Arabs even before he became a Prophet.

Did Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) guide humanity to all truth?

Lets first see what Almighty God, Allah (SWT) has to say.

We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures.” (Quran 21:107)

We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not.” (Quran 34:28)

“Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong).” (Quran 2:185)

“A. L. R. A Book which We have revealed unto thee, in order that thou mightest lead mankind out of the depths of darkness into light” (Quran 14:1)

The glorious Quran, the last testament speaks for itself. Almighty God testifies that it is indeed a guide to the whole of human kind.

Islam infact has the solutions to the problems of human kind. Islam is the religion of peace, it does not only talk about peace but practically demonstrates how peace and universal brotherhood can be achieved. 3. : for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) spoke whatever Allah (SWT) revealed to him. He never ever mentioned that Quran is written by him. He always denied being the author of such a wonderful book like the Quran. Allah testifies in the Quran

“ Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire.

It is no less than inspiration sent down to him:

He was taught by one Mighty in Power, “ (Quran 53:3-5)

4. and he will shew you things to come.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied many things which have come true. I’ll just mention couple of the prophecies mentioned in the Quran.

The Quran speaks about the battle of Byzantine in Surah Rum verses 2-4

“The Roman Empire has been defeated-

In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious-

Within a few years.” (Quran 30:2-4)

These verses were revealed around 620 C.E. (Christian era) when the Byzantine were defeated by the Persians. The battle was fought again after 7 years in 627 and the Persians were defeated, thus fulfilling the prophecy mentioned in the Quran.

The Quran also tells us the exact place at which the battle would take place. The Quran says “In a land close by”. The Arabic word used is “Adna Ard” which can be translated in two different ways.

1. The lowest land

2. A land close by

Both the meanings are applicable here. This battle in 627 took place at the Dead Sea. Dead Sea is the lowest part on this earth as well as the land close by to Mecca (where these verses were revealed).

The Quran also prophecies the preservation of Pharaoh’s body, the Quran says

This day shall We save thee (Pharaoh) in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!" (Quran 10:92)

The mummy of the Pharaoh was found thousands of years later in 1881 and it was put in the museum in Egypt. Thus, fulfilling another prophecy of the Quran. For details

5. [14] He shall glorify me:

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the only Prophet of God after Jesus Christ (pbuh) who glorified him and confirmed him as a True Prophet of God and as the Messiah. Jesus Christ (pbuh) hold a very high position in the house of Islam.

His honorable position in the Quran .

A righteous Prophet (Quran 6:85)

The word of Allah (Quran 3:45)

The Messiah (Christ) (Quran 3:45)

Jesus the son of Mary (Quran 3:45)

Spirit of Allah (Quran 4:171)

His virgin birth (Quran 3:42-47)

Messenger to the Children of Israel i.e. The Jews (Quran 3:49)

Note : The Bible mentions in I John 4:2 that any spirit (Similar to Prophet I John 4:1) that testifies that Jesus is the Christ is of God and the Quran testifies it in 3:45

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) glorified Jesus Christ (pbuh) and Jesus Christ holds a very high position in the house of Islam. In fact, if a Muslim denies Jesus (pbuh), he denies Islam!

6. for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

The Quran confirms other divine books revealed by God to his other Prophets including the revelation given to Jesus (pbuh).

“And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.” (Quran 5:46)

Note: We Muslims do not accept the 4 gospels in the Bible to be the ones which were revealed to Jesus (pbuh). The four gospels are “according to” Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. We Muslims believe in the Gospel which was revealed to Jesus (pbuh), no in Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.

Conclusion:

Jesus Christ (pbuh) did prophecy the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The Prophecy of John 16:12-14 refers to none else than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The Quran also testifies that Jesus Christ (pbuh) prophesied the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in 61:6.
